Adsense Stuff

The Death Of Adsense Report by Scott Boulch, Here, has caused some controversy with the Adsense guru’s fiercly defending their end of the pitch.

Joel Comm posted on his forum,

“AdSense IS dead…

… if you focus on building garbage sites
… if you put no effort into creating your own original content
… if you expect to get rich quick

But, the reality of the situation is that AdSense is FAR from dead!”

Jonathon Ledger of the Adsense Gold Tracking software blogged,

“The author of the report says that he created 3,000 web sites, slapped AdSense on them and expected to make a huge amount of money.

- He didn’t say anything about doing any search engine optimization of those sites.
- The speed in which the sites were created makes me think he was putting up spam sites.
- He attributed his lack of revenue to people being able to bid on AdSense clicks separately from Google search clicks.”

We shall just have to wait and see. Scotts report is obviously building up to the launch of a product and it will be interesting to see if it’s another rehashed blah blah blah or we are getting something of value. Let’s hope he is not just buildiing up a list to sell off when the time is right.

Certainly Scotts somments on the demise of high paying keywords is in error, at the present time anyway, as I am definitely being paid on mine.

Adsense? It’s all the rage so why is hardly anybody making any money from Adsense? There are more folk making $1 than $7,500 so what’s all the hype about?

Learning how to earn an income using Adsense is actually very simple. You can fork out your $50 or $100 and that’s the learning curve done with. It’s only a matter of placing the Adsense code in a certain position on your web pages. Even the experts have differing views on this so remember to buy a good Adsense tracker that will let you know exactly what’s happening on your pages.

Like everything else, it’s just adopting a consistent and methodical approach to your Adsense marketing.

The Huge problem that hardly anybody tells you about before you buy the Adsense product is that you really must have traffic to your site to make it work. Many people think that by being accepted for a Google Adsense account means that Google is going to send traffic your way. It doesn’t work like that. You are responsible for getting your own traffic.

So, like just about everybody else, you are now stuck with a $50 Adsense product, highly optimized web pages and, well, I guess a $50 Adsense product and highly optimized we pages!

It’s the old cart before the horse system and I fell foul of it myself so I can sympathize with you. Get traffic to your website first. Don’t get hung up on Adsense and don’t go spending money on ANY Adsense product until you have website visitors. I’m not talking a “flood” as the gurus like to call it but a nice gently trickle to start off with will do just fine.

As a side note you don’t actually have to buy any Adsense product. All the information is given on the Adsense help pages, the Adsense blog is great and the guys at Adsense support are really efficient and helpful. Buying an Adsense product does however make you feel more “comfortable” because you are doing what someone else is doing and if it works for them then it must work for you - right?

Work on getting traffic and building your list.

One of the best ways you can do this is to write and submit articles. It is probably the cheapest and most effective method to build your traffic, build your list and build your rankings in the Search Engines.

It won’t happen overnight but if done correctly it won’t take that long. Don’t get hung up on Google. It could take months to be indexed but article syndication builds those all important anchor text links back to your website which Google loves so you are preparing the ground.

Other Search Engines will probably pick you up very quickly and it is surprising where your link will be found. The smaller niche search engines will definitely index you and send a small amount of traffic and also provide a one way anchor text link.

If you don’t think you can write articles then think again and give it some serious consideration. Think of the fun you can have and the knowledge you can gain from researching new topics. The web will always be hungry for quality content.

The latest craze of producing 1000’s of sub-standard articles in seconds using software will be over before long as the search engines really don’t want this rubbish in their database.

Build your website with quality content, submit quality articles and watch your income soar - and it doesn’t have to be with Adsense!

Found this today and thought it was a good, concise article to share.

Adsense Authors: Who Are These People?
By Christopher Knight

Adsense is a program designed by Google to help publishers monetize their websites using high contextually-accurate ads. Adwords is the other side of the coin which allows any person to create an account with Google and bid on keywords or key phrases to have their ads appear in either the search results ad placements, or in content sites that display Adsense ads.

Over the past few months I’ve identified a group of authors, writers, and publishers that I call: “Adsense Authors.”

My definition of an Adsense Author: Any author that uses article marketing as a strategy to drive traffic to their website in order to drive their adsense ad revenue sales.

These “Adsense Authors” really understand how to fully leverage article marketing as a strategy like no other group of authors.

Here are the commonly shared traits of these authors:

  1. Their articles are short, between 200-600 words.
  2. The quantity of articles they produce are typically from 25-300; around a tightly focused niche topic.
  3. The TITLE of their articles are very keyword rich: the first two, three, or four words are the most important in rank. You won’t find these authors wasting the first 4 words of their title with non-keyword-rich words (such as “a” “how to” “top” “the” “of” etc).
  4. The BODY of their articles has high keyword density for the terms they are targeting.
  5. The KEYWORDS they use when submitting their articles are intelligently selected based on the overture or other keyword research tools; they are not haphazardly selected.
  6. They do not load up and bloat the guts of the BODY of their articles with links back to their sites; they know this slows down the acceptance of their articles for reprint by other publishers.
  7. Their articles are fun, fast, and easy to read. Often they will use bullets, numbered lists, and quick sub-heads to make the article easy to visually digest.
  8. Lastly, their RESOURCE BOX is brief with only one or two links in them: one link to their full website URL, and one anchored text link to a keyword of importance to their niche. They know that big, ego driven resource boxes slow down the viral nature of article marketing strategy.

Conclusion on Adsense Authoring

Adsense Authors have discovered the secrets behind fully unlocking the power of article marketing to drive enormous storms of organic traffic to their websites. They accomplish this with dozens to hundreds of tightly-focused niche articles, all reflecting high keyword value and research intelligence.

You won’t find any 3,000+ word articles or ego driven article content from an Adsense Author. They have only one purpose in mind: To drive massive amounts of traffic to their Adsense-based business model using article marketing as a key strategy.

Even if your goal in life has nothing to do with Adsense, you can definitely learn from today’s Adsense Authors on how to take Article Marketing to the next level of possibilities.
